So there I was one day, cycling by Bondi Beach...

You know how it is - the sun is blazing in a blue sky, the waves are crashing on the beach, the surfers are out and the cycling is easy.... God!..life's a bitch.

Some snaps from my cycle tour of Oz a few years back, just to make you jealous.

4000 miles in all, Brisbane to Adelaide via Sydney, Melbourne and Tasmania with a few detours - best time of my life.

It was a great trip for me, too.

It's a great place isn't it - would love to see your photos up here one of these days. Which route did you take? I took the road via Canberra and the Snowy Mountains, then down to Melbourne, round Tasmania then along the Great Ocean Road. By bike is the only way to do the Great Ocean Road without doubt.

Dunno where I plan next, but I think about it constantly. Might try and bit closer to home and do a round Europe trip. On the other hand - South America sounds interesting!
