Sunday afternoon at the velodrome in Newport, with a group of 13 of us. All of us had some experience of riding fixed gears. Total crashes in the first 10 minutes (prior to actually getting on the track)-3:biggrin:

All in all, a good weekend:thumbsup:

Oh dear....who said experience mattered again?

Hope there wasn't too much pain involved!

Velodrome Maggot..I am envious!

I managed to get out on my road bike on Saturday and MTB for a cracking club ride Sunday. Double whammy!

I moved the dinner plates to a different cupboard, thus freeing up some space for the cafetiere. All in all a very satisfactory result.

Satisfactory for you, but it must have caused some confusion among the staff when they came in today.

Successfully bidding for a nearly new Brompton, a red P6R-x, and picking it up. It's much better for a central London temporary commute than the fixed I was using. I am no longer using up two lives a trip!

it was a gift, I couldn't resist:biggrin:

It wasn't really a gift now was it seeing as I never mentioned the word friends! but if it makes you happy then that's all that counts.

So what was the best thing about your weekend? Do tell!

Best thing about my weekend? Taking the turbomutt for a walk Sunday morning then coming home and cooking an exceedingly fattening late breakfast with still-recovering wifey.
Oh, climbing 40m up one of the works' bypass stacks to check the birdbox, in the hope that our peregrines will nest here again this year, and due to the cold air getting the best view of the surrounding area I've ever had

Last Saturday i drove from Birmingham to Kirkcaldy and back, beating the last six months' driving mileage in one day. So the best thing about this weekend is that it wasn't last weekend.
