Probably get beat anyway so just as well really. Save myself a few quid in the process.

My trumpet-playing son has landed a job playing in a "stand band" in the local big screen sports pub where he is being paid in beer, pizza and a small amount of cash! They have been booked for all the England games. He is as happy as a pig in whatsit!
I will be going for a 20 mile blast round the block on my bike whilst the roads are quiet.
I'm sure there will be plenty of people to tell me who won when I get back!

Never done one but I'm not the next Mo Farah by any means. I'd be happy with <30min tbh
It's 5 (FIVE) Kilometres and it's a ParkRUN, not a ParkWALK! Women pushing prams do it quicker in our local parkruns (I've got two on the go). Seriously, you'll kick 30 minute's arse by a loooong way.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I thought that the incessant football in this country was the reason that Netflix was invented. At least on rainy days.
Actually I have discovered that the roads are quieter to cycle on when the football is on.
I have decided football is actually brilliant and must have been invented by cyclists sane people as a means to clear areas for more productive pursuits

Indeed. I've only been back running a few weeks though

I'll be taking my neighbours dog for a walk yet again, or more accurately seeing if I can sneak out without him (failed everyday so far this week!) He loves coming on walks with us but even my dodgy left leg can walk further than he can (very large adult irish wolfhound - ironically they don't need much exercise)

Then I think THIS thread is for you
that thread has way too much of the F word in it for my liking!

I shall pretend to be watching the football with my 9 year old son while secretly posting on a well known bicycle forum using a mobile device.
