But the V12 is the Series 3, where they took the beautiful original and gave it a massive whack with the ugly stick to make it suitable for the American market. You can keep it. I love the E-Type but it has to be the Series 1 or nothing.
The XK150 is nice but I'd go for lot 57, the XK120 roadster. That would be £100k well spent.
I had a ford escort mexico as one of my first cars, bannana yellow and a skull on the gearstick ! Thought I was cool....not.Wouldnt mind it now looking at the value.

Still trying to get my head round the hideous body kit on lot 1 matched with the old boys club rumpled brown leather interior. Strip off the plastic and a nice set of orange Day Glo stripes would go nicely with that white paintwork.....
However, ifsomeone else is buying, then number 55 please.

There is something in what you say on the e-type. Still the v12 is quite an engine (as is the xk6) and it looks ok in soft top guise - it isn't a horrid auto box either.
I'll grant I'm probably in the minority in prefering the xk150 to the purists' choice of the 120 but I think it is the prettiest jag; maybe even the prettiest car full stop
Having had another look through the catalogue, I think @Drago and I could be in competition for the P1800ES (number 6). Stylish & practical - it looks like you could get a bike in the back with the seats down and my Planet X is black with red wheels to contrast the red with black trim of the car.
