Due to family commitments I didn't but spotted loads of cyclists out and about this morning making the most of the break in the weather which made me very envious !

If you did manage a ride, please spill the beans: where did you go, how far and how fast ?

Managed to get out today briefly. Apart from the flooding on the country roads, this across the bridleway may have had a significant impact on my Strava timing

No bike action here for something like 6 weeks.  A combination of a minor sore throat and subsequent ongoing lethargy and tiredness and a general feeling of being out of sorts. Add that to being maniacally busy workwise, then getting on my bike has just seemed beyond me.
HOWEVER. I am feeling tickety boo today and if I had not had 'stuff' to do I would have been out.

Now begins the long journey back.

Managed a 34 miler. Had to stick to the bigger roads as the flooding around here is mega. Went down to the river to check the flooding out towards the end of the ride. I don't think I've seen the floods so high since the epic of 2007

I got out. I've already written a bit about it here.

I thought I'd see how much flooding there was but it looks like my part of the world has got away really lightly considering how much rain there was over the last few days. Of course, there may still be more yet to come down from the Welsh mountains.

2.75 miles! with craigwend jr,
first direction abandoned as the village underpass was flooded!,
tried one of the local lanes, so covered in crap & mud,:rain: ... & 4x4's unable to even contemplate going on the 'verge' - so we did, miserable weather, we headed home, back into the headwind...:bicycle:
