I've eaten horse steaks in the past. Found them very good. Not in the UK though!

Very different from horse (or any other) meat of unknown provenance being illegally substituted into our food though.

I first ate horse in Orleans in the form of horseburger. I like it so much that on my next visit to Orleans I sought out the same restaurant to have another one.

BOAB did not expect to be saddled with all these puns. We will have to rein ourselves in a bit.

I would give it a go, however I believe there is a reason why we eat cows, sheep and pigs. It's because they taste the best. If badger meat was very tasty then our ancestors would have found a way of farming them, equally, if horse was first class meat then there would be huge herds of them being fattened up.

In many other countries there's no taboo or horror about eating horses that exists in the UK. It's simply a historic anomaly, in the same way we don't eat cats.

I've eaten horse in France - quite similar to venison.

Like everyone says, some have, some haven't I cant comment as I haven't had a Pharlap burger, I am not saying horse meat isn't good, its probably better than the meat we eat from Asda or Tesco right now...............but its the thought, everyone will look at every horse and think..........NO and then go on a "Save our horse campaign"..........hossburger wont catch on
