it happened. Yesterday evening. Is this some sort of cryptic question that I'm about to rack my brain over and then groan when the answer is revealed, or did it really happen?
they're CSIs looking for clues. Vacuum thoroughlyOn the subject of 'what are the chances...', we've just sold our house and the people who've bought it are the same folk that bought the last house we sold! What are the chances of that?
and the doorbell rings. So you go to the door and open it.
Now - what are the chances that the person at the door is the author of the book???!!!!
And what was the name of the book?
no - sorry.
Here's the offending tome........
I was going to suggest that...
Incidentally, as you'd expect, I'll point out that statistically speaking coincidences are really not that surprising. It's just that we don't register all the many millions of times when a coincidence doesn't happen, so coincidences take on a bigger significance than they should.
Oh, and I'm still waiting for someone to lend me a copy!![]()
