Sober for October?

I've even been known to sniff the sterilising hand rub if I run out of drinking alcohol on my days off.
What chance would I have of going a whole month, that also includes my birthday?!

I'm sober all year round. For me to be inebriated takes about 10 pints. I only have 3 or 4 a night at the most.

No.I don't drink that much and have it under control.Next booze night if wanted would be Sunday night as I'm not working Monday.

I would, but..... its my birthday in October so have to have a drink then.

I actually forgot but so is mine.(5th) and its also my day off.

I'm 11 months away from my last drink, and a day at a time, I'll be sober for October but I doubt anyone would sponsor me! I'll join you though Reg if I count?

I'm going to give it a go. As we have a strict drink and drugs policy at work it shouldn't be too hard to abstain for a month.

Allegedly giving up alcohol for a month is something Alcoholics do to 'prove' they're not an Alky.

The Grim Reaper suggested that it might be a good idea for me to give up my boozy lifestyle, so I did!

For me it is more a case of 'Sober since (that) September' ...

Same here, I scared myself into giving it up 8 years ago.
