Sober for October?

I've given up e-cigging after around 5 years of it ruling my life. 3 days so far and it's easier than I expected. Much easier than giving up the real cigs which I did about 8 years ago. I had considered giving up booze as well, but I don't drink much anyway.

No alcohol here, and I resisted the temptation of sweet treats during yesterday's stock take.
I have been drinking hot ribena for medicinal purposes though so sugar hasn't been totally eradicated from my diet - yet.

I've been ill all weekend so not a drop for me. I'm much better today and have found new bottles of Cardhu and Vodka in the fridge, and some of my favourite Shiraz in the cupboard. I have a love-hate relationship with my wife right now

Doesn't look like Guinness but does look tasty. What is it? Love proper dark(black) beer.
About the best I had was called Black Bomber from the Tonbridge brewery. I had a pint with a friend in a local micro pub, £3 a pint and about 5.6% iirc. Had a second and on ordering number 3 ....."Sorry Salty, barrels gone" and it was the only one they had....

I am attempting the this months challenge too but thinking about that pint weakens the resolve...

I have given up alcohol for October and my wife has bet me that i cant give up pepsi max too.
I drink far to much of the stuff, some times 2 litres a day, and to be fair i am more worried about the pepsi than the booze. I must be addicted to the stuff.

It wasn't as nice as the Wooha that was next to it (I didn't think the Fathom was as tasty, i.e. it didn't taste of anything to much, but hey, I am a little bit pished now, so I don't care) but that was taken off earlier. Still, it is nice and drinkable enough
