I did it. No alcohol or cola for the whole of October.
I had a Diet Coke yesterday.
Still haven't had any booze but will on Thursday night.

Due to medication I've not had an alcohol drink since the beginning of August. I did however try a couple of sips from my wife's wine glass when we went out for a meal last week and again last night, it tasted absolutely foul. I'd consider becoming teetotal, but what do teetotaler's drink? I don't like fizzy drinks due to the amount of sugar and while I like fruit, I don't like fruit juices for the same reason. At the moment I tend to stick with water and the very ocassional glass of cold milk, but I'm concerned I'll get sick of just water at some point in the future.

Did anyone from last years campaign manage this? I'm sure I didn't although just seen the adverts again.

Ironically I haven't touched a drop since January 2nd 2017 and I don't miss it.Like the above poster it's more about the tablets i'm on as opposed to wanting to give up which wasn't the plan at the time.It just happened.I did generally feel awful and it's still a struggle so I'm better off without it anyway.I can drink socially but as this is very rare it's not a problem anyway.

Its been a long time since I was flat out drunk. I dont like it as it makes me very depressed. I'll have a few shots of a nice whisky or brandy though. Nothin beyond getting tipsy though
