A law that made it illegal to talk about work when you're not there  Went for a beer with colleagues this evening... might as well have stayed at work

Not engineers by any chance are they? Never met one who can't stop themselves from talking shop during socials. And that includes me

Right. Scrap all reality TV. Scrap all chat shows. Scrap David Attenborough (sorry atters - you're a nice guy really, we know you are, but war's war...) Re-run the original 1967 Forsyte Saga series (not that p**y 2002 remake ) every episode back-to-back, make it compulsory for the entire population to watch, test viewers after every 3 episodes, if they don't get a good pass mark, cut their food....

Prohibit corner shops and garages from selling alcohol and put the sale of alcohol back into the hands of publicans through Off Licence windows. Oblige supermarkets to have dedicated areas for the sale of alcohol with special tills manned by grown up licenced sellers. Close down cheapo booze shops and prosecute specialists who sell to anyone under 21.

Oh, and ban alcohol advertising and promotions.

Ban tabloid newspapers from filling all their space up with non-stories about people who are celebs for no obvious reason.

People getting pissed and scrapping on a Saturday night is everyone's business. They affect home life, town centre's become no-go zones, the impact on their family (domestic violence) is horrendous, and that's without involving the emergency services.

Having fun and participating in sport/adventure impedes no-one.

We can all go along and be complicit to thuggery, or we can challenge it and show them another way (that doesn't involve the Lord)

Getting pissed and scrapping isnt 'someones private business'..it's outright illegal. That's not the kind of thing i'm talking about.
I'm talking about everyone having an opinion on smokers, drivers, cyclists, overweight people, couch potatoes, etc etc etc...and sounding off about it.

People get so uptight about others lifestyles....it makes their own less than perfect.
