When I started cycling 7 years ago I bought a cheap pair of arm warmers from Aldi which I've worn ever since.

With the coming of chilly mornings I decided that I deserved something better, so I bought a top branded merino wool pair.

First time out I slipped on a patch of gravel, toppled and tore a large hole in the elbow.

Well, if youd had the arm warmers on your elbow would have been well protected from such damage.

I have the same. If I have a decent shirt or something, you can bet your arse that something will spill on it that you can’t wash out. This never happens with my cheapo T-shirts....
