Which end do you go for when you try to access your soft boiled egg?

I go for the blunt end because it seems easier to peel being of a gentler curvature. Also, it sits more firmly and lower in the egg cup with the pointy side downwards. I'm curious why other people might not agree with this obvious wisdom.

BTW, knife beheaders need not respond.

I am a knife beheader on the pointy end.

Blunt end in egg cup, hit side of egg with edge of teaspoon, insert teaspoon in crack and lift off the top. Eat the contents of the top and then the rest.

I'm interested in this peeling idea. A new one for me.

I am not a fan of eggs
I am OK with an omelette - preferable with lots of salt and mushrooms

but boiled is just not my thing

but if I had to - I would start at the pointy end
because that is the right end to start at

Its a good while since I've had boiled eggs so im trying to visualise it. Pretty sure i put the egg in pointy end UP which imo makes it easier to scoop all the egg from the bottom.
I tap n crack with a spoon.
Bit of salt and pepper with each scoop

That is interesting and I will try that.

Incidentally (and I'm really not saying this a out you or anyone else here), but I also read that humans are silly because peel the banana at the "big" end whereas chimpanzees peel them at the small end so that means humans are dumb and do not know how to peel a banana correctly.

... But then again, it could be the chimpanzee that is dumb and it's the humans who are peeling at the correct end. Incidentally, I've peeled at both ends and prefer the human way.

In an effort to 'up' my protein intake, but without morning effort/delay, I've taken to boiling eggs to soft boiled status (?6 minutes) with veg when I'm boiling veg (or standalone sweet corn) for supper (maybe every other day). Then in the morning, while the central heating is bursting into flames, the kettle is boiling and the toast burning, I crack and peel the egg as if hard boiled and idc halve it on marmite toast (the yolk is not set).
Thank you for listening.

Boil the egg for 1 minute 38 seconds (precisely), cut pointy end, touch of pepper and serve to my gorgeous wife (who is a professional chef, and wouldn't have "her" Sunday breakfast boiled egg prepared for her any other way).

1 minute 38 seconds !!!!
I think you may as well give her a raw egg.
I (and many others of the upper class) hate snotty eggs.
