Boardman Comp Edition Road Bike – Small 50cm - £325
A great bike for the price, very sharp handing and quick acceleration and a shame I have to part with this bike. The reason for sale is I am no longer commuting by bike; I also need to soften the blow to the wife when the new training bike arrives. It’s a size Small 50cm, I am 5’7” with 31” inside leg and fits me well.
I bought the bike a year ago and the previous owner stated he had done 500 miles on it, so overall the bike has done around 3k so not bad for a 4/5 year old. It does have some scuffs on the shifters and the odd chip on the frame but is in good condition. I have fitted new bar tape, Swissstop Flash Pro Greed high performance pads with plenty of life left in them and also Selle Italia SL Saddle (I have the original which is in good condition and can supply this), the tyres are Vittoria Zaffiro which have done less than 500 miles (the front does have a cut in it but doesn’t effect performance).
This bike would suit someone looking for a winter trainer, commuting bike or someone starting out looking for a cheap, fast bike with some excellent components. I fitted Crud catchers to the bike with 23mm tyres and it was fine and got good mudguard coverage.
