For sale: Cervelo S3 frame, XS 48cm 2015 model.
This is a 48cm (XS) Cervelo S3 frameset with seatpost. It’s the 2015 model and has been used in 2017 and 2018 for Under 14 racing. Only used in races in the past two years never for road rides and lightly used beforehand around the local park by the previous owner. Raced locally in West Yorkshire, nationally and in Ireland leading to two Top 10 finishes in national finals. The frameset also works well for hill-climbing and has been used to win several hillclimbs.
Suitable for 4’9 through to 5’ 8” – if the rider is under 5’ 2” we can supply a second shorter seatpost to prevent the longer one being cut.
During our ownership the bike has been maintained by Sowerby Cycles in Mirfield. Comes with Pressfit bottom bracket (BB30) which would benefit from new bearings and all the headset parts. Seatpost is shown at the maximum limit. As this bike has been used in racing there are a number of marks; the seatpost mark is from a retaining strap, there is also paint loss around the cassette area from a chain drop. There has been a minor repair to the fork due to a small groove caused by a poorly fitted headset bearing prior to 2017 – additional carbon added to repair this by a frame repairer and hardly noticeable. New mech hanger fitted in April 2018. All cable guides are taped for easy build, as per the photos.
