With a heavy heart, I've decided to sell my Grasshopper fx. I'm just not using it enough and it has been idle for almost a year now.

The Grashopper fx is a foldable recumbent made by the German manufacturer HP Velotechnik. (More information about the bike here.) According to their website, the packing dimension of the folded bike is 90x50x70.

The bike, bought in the fall of 2008, has done less than 5000 miles.

Here's the spec:
  • below seat stearing
  • custom color: saffron yellow
  • body link seat plus airflow seat cushion
  • head rest for body link seat (not shown on photo)
  • Shimano Deore XT 3x9 gearing, bar end shifters
  • Shimano Deore XT crankset
  • Magura Louise hydraulic disc brakes
  • SON hub dynamo, Busch and Müller IQ Cyo 60 lux headlight
  • Suspension fork Spinner Grind
  • mudguards
  • rear rack plus low rider rack
  • Micro bag for Body link seat
  • transport cover (hope I can find it...)
  • tyres: Schwalbe Kojak, plus 2 used Schwalbe Marathon (good condition) and 2 new Schwalbe Marathon Racer tyres

Given the fact that this was my first recumbent and I had to learn cycling on such a machine, the bike has collected a number of scratches. Technically, however, it is in good condition.

According to HP's current price list, a new bike with such a spech costs around 3800 Euro = £3100.
It will be yours for £ 1950.

I'm the second owner of the bike. Full paperwork – original receipt and receipt of my purchase - are available.

The bike is located in Highbury, north London. If you want to have a look at it, please drop me an email at o dot storbeck at gmail dot com.

More pictures of the bike are available here.
