This is my husband's bicycle which he has just replaced with a flat bar hybrid:

Dawes Galaxy 23" / 58cm
Frameset dates from 1993 as far as I can work out. It has been upgraded over the years, so the spec is as follows:
Shimano Tiagra groupset, 3x9 with STI shifters. Tiagra Hubs.
SMP Saddle
Brand new FSA Omega compact bars with Fizik tape over dual layer gel padding
Quill to Headset stem adapter with BBB adjustable stem
32c Schwalbe Marathon tyres with Michelin butyl tubes
Both wheels recently re-trued
Recently replaced Shimano cables throughout
New headset bearings
Rear Rack included
ESGE (SKS) mudguards included
Pedals are bog standard plastic flats as I've moved my SPDs to the new bike
I'm 6'2 and this fits fine set up as shown in the photos. There is a little more extension in the seatpost still.
In good condition generally. Some scratches to the frame as pictured, some grazing to the bar tape on the drops where it's been lent on walls. Bits of surface rust on a couple of screws. Gearset is by no means new, but there seems to be plenty of life in it. Chain is relatively new.
I've had this for 6 or 7 years and it's been a great ride, just eats the miles and is really comfortable to ride.
I'm selling as my riding has changed from pure road riding for fun, to a road/cycletrack/pavement commute. I've finally given up trying to get my knackered back to accept riding drop bars so I've swapped to a flat bar hybrid with suspension fork.
This is collection only from Gloucester.
£275
