Looks like a not bad bike. Components look good along with a block that rises a tooth per sprocket. This could indicate an old time trial bike?

Is there a sticker on it that has the number 531? Also, are the tyres clinchers or are the tubulars glued to the rims?

Edit. Just noticed the "drillium" brakes. Almost certainly an old TT bike. What are the frame angles like?

More than likely will have 531 frame but may not have the 531 decal if it's been repainted. Derailleur dates it to the seventies, maybe earlier. Is it a Stronglight chainset? Campag hubs? I have a Rory O'Brien but it's a fake, actually a Dawes, not saying yours is, in fact it looks kosher. I'm not well enough up with the make to comment but I'm sure someone will be along who can shed more light. Nice period bike, looks like TT bike as suggested. Rory had a shop on Romford.

For a better response you ought to post this in the Special Interests Vintage section, maybe the mods could move it.
