Pot noodle for me today, to be fair if you look at the back it's not bad as far as carbs/ fat and protein go..

Pot noodles have gone all healthy.........tasted way better in the 80's

Oh, and a mother who had just pulled out directly in front of me and then drove along at only 10 mph demonstrated why it was not worth her while accelerating - she lived less than 150 yards away from the school! Fair enough if we were suffering the thunderstorms that we had later in the day, but at that time it was still a lovely sunny afternoon.

Take heart Colin that these lazy self-gratification artists will probably pop off way before their time.

I walk the kids to school (5 mins round the corner), a few who live as close drive their kids round, spending ages parking and blocking the road making it dangerous to cross.

Beggars belief, most drive straight home again so it's not as if they're going to work.

A woman over the road spends a good 10 mins de-icing the car in winter, you could have walked there and back in the same time..

I remember for us as kids cake was a rare treat, fruit salad was what we had to have, because "it is good for you".
Last time I eat a fruit salad I was probably 12
Anyway, tonight I am a stuffed pepper, a wrap made with chicken left over from a home cooked chicken dinner, and some (a lot!) frozen yogurt :hungry:

I don't eat breakfast but our two regularly tuck in to freshly made fuit salads for breakfast.

My daughter can eat her own bodyweight in baby tomatoes!.

They must take after my wife as I'm not a fruit and veg fan..

Somebody in front of me in Sainsburys just had a sliced loaf and a can of dog food in their basket ...

Isn't dog food essentially pate in a cheaper and handier sized container? ;)

Anyway, today I am mainly chicken and pasta (I know, that shocked me too).
Although often I am Doritos - and if you're thinking that at least they are better for you than crisps, try setting fire to one. It's a little known fact that you can use Doritos if you run out of BBQ lighters...

Alternative perspective - mother may know from experience that said toddler, the moment he gets his apple would make a huge fuss and want chocolate cake. Maybe she was just trying to avoid a public toddler carpet biting meltdown.
Also, apples on offer in cafes tend to be of the giant green indigestible variety whereas she can get a whole bag of toddler sized ones in the supermarket for not much more than 50p

I call it as I saw it , the fruit looked as good and fresh as the stuff on the shelves, , even so if not an apple ,surely , there would be far better stuff on sale to give the child than a massive chocolate cake at 9:30 in the morning ?
No two sides in my book ,
