Having just looked at the chaps other videos it would appear he quite likes shouting and swearing at people for minor things and is quite happy to stop in the middle of the road to initiate arguments with people. By his own comments he got 'hard time in court last year' so had toned his videos down. Unfortunately based on this my sympathies towards them are falling...
In fairness that comment is very ambiguous. It was not disclosed what caused the hard time.
The fact you would blame 50% of this incident on the cyclist for saying some bad words is ludicrous. It was the drivers own choice to close pass along with a nice cut up and finally brake test. The quality of the driver was show well before any shouting took place. The cyclists actions where what I and I would imagine the law in this case would class as appropriate.
At that range there should be no expectation for the cyclist to stop in time therefore no blame could be placed apron the cyclist.
It would seem 'sympathies for them' has very much clouded your judgement. The sympathy held for the driver seems to outweigh logic.

The first comment was made before I saw the other chaps videos so it did not influence my opinion.

To be honest, I would not expect you to agree with my view, as you (in my opinion) fall into the same category as the chap in the video ie Like to shout and swear at people for relatively minor things (in the first instance) and then wonder why people have then reacted badly.

No, I don't agree with you because you seem incompetent given by rather terrible judgements.
This along with other posts across the board seems to support this view.

Who promptly file it in a bin.

In London, the best way to get something done is send it to the Cycle Task Force, led by the rather wonderful Titus Halliwell.
Not from the experiences I have had, the traffic unit is more than happy to prosecute drivers.

And as for contacting the cycle task force regarding matters like this, meh, it's not really what they do. Go one up and contact the person that Titus reports to and then you really will get stuff done. ;)

Haha, well clearly you are entitled to make your 'judgements' of other people based on their views which happen to differ from your own. Sadly I won't be losing any sleep over it. Instead I'll just continue to see the same type of videos being posted again and again with drivers doing silly things and equally silly cyclists getting into arguments over it with both parties gaining very little from it.

For some reason, even though I ride thousands of miles a year I don't seem to get into a fraction of the scrapes some of the more 'vocal' cyclists do, even when I ride similar roads. I wonder why?

Quantity is no measurement of quality. So by the fact you cycle a lot tends to mean well not that much as its no indication of anything but your distance.
Also for the second part the list is very long.

It's my video.

I know I shouldn't have shouted, and that it contributed to it, although it doesn't excuse the driving. I thought the driver was aborting the overtake when he slowed for the speedbump, and was surprised when he cut in front afterwards.

There was about 10 of talking afterwards, and we exchanged details. Some other cyclists stopped to say they had seem him driving dangerously (although didn't see the collision), I tried to get their details, but the driver sent them away. He said I pulled out in front of him and I should have left stopping room, it was all my fault and he's going to sue me for the mirror. Made me realise there's no point trying to argue, just exchange details and move on.

I stupidly had the camera set for very bright conditions after using it snowboarding, had to tweak the lighting at the expense of quality to make it somewhat visible.

Err ok then.

To be honest Cycling Dan, what was the purpose of posting another persons video and asking for viewpoints? If you want opinions of your own incidents then I could understand it, but why others? Surely the arguments that these videos cause would be better kept to YouTube.

Is that all on film? He hasn't got a hope in hell of getting you to pay for that mirror, what a complete tosser.

Answer= Spread
Sure you can say your view but its your ignorance which is causing you to expect no one to challenge your judgement or even question it. Its nothing to do with that your judgement fell out the norm.
In-fairness you judgement was poor, I just happen to be the one saying. All a bit of victim blaming. I think most are ignoring as it tends to reach a point and then circle, although someone could share the same judgement however nothing was said.
Your viewpoint is the same as saying a women is at fault for being raped because she wore a short skirt. (Although the event is different with huge similarities to your viewpoint its very much the same on the scale of stupid) In explanation the cyclists swore= short skirt then brake test= rape. In case that was no clear. Moronic right? Same as your viewpoint. I used this example as the situation is very much the same just different in act. In essence to exaggerate so the picture becomes more clear and/or understandable.
Sure your entitled and no opinion is wrong but they sure can be ignorant or witless.
