I seem to have settled into a pattern of riding my geared carbon bike in spring/summer/autumn and the Charge Plug in the winter. So although I generally like riding freewheel s/s more than other types of bike, I'm only doing it at this time of year.
This is mainly because the Charge is aluminium and isn't particularly engaging or entertaining to ride so is just being used for its simplicity. My beloved Falcon Team Equipe 'Aryton' is still just a frame, needing work to remove rust and refinish, maybe even replace a stay or two and fit track dropouts. I really miss riding that bike!
Anyway, I need to build a 'summer' singlespeed, so I'm going to strip the gears off my Lee Cooper and try find my ss mojo again. My son has been using it on occasion but tbh it's too small for him anyway. So back to the garage to convert it BACK to 48x17 and keep an eye on ebay for a large frame for the lad!
