On the google.co.uk webpage? I know what you are on about, mine has disappeared too, plus when the page first loads some other bits don't appear until I move the mouse over the page. Seems it might be related to google themselves doing some stuff, but then again I'm not sure.....?

Ah cheers Tollers (can't believe it took me 20 minutes to make my post!), though I'd be interested to know how you can opt out of the minimalism version!
