A couple of us (Adds21 & me) are going for a ride this Sunday (24[sup]th[/sup]), starting from Wells, across the Levels to Glastonbury, cake stop, perhaps taking in a nature reserve or two, cake stop and back to Wells (around 25 miles).

We plan to meet up around 10:30 and should be out for 2 to 2.5 hours – anyone interested let us know and we’ll finalise the meeting place.

You don't fancy doing the whole Tour of Britain route that has been announced then?

I would have been up for it, but I will be in Suffolk unfortunately. Have a nice ride, it'll be a scorcher!

Chutzpah, I would be up for the ToB route pre-ride.

145k? Humm... The most I've ever done is 110, but I might be up for that at some point over the summer... I guess we could cheat and not double up on the Wells / Shepton Mallet loop...

I was planning on us stopping at some quaint little tea room for coffee and cake – but great news; it’s the Glastonbury Medieval Fayre, which means hog roast, wenches and mead

If you have a jousting pole bring that too, as I'm sure these will be most useful whilst going down Glastonbury high street. We are planning to set off from Wookey Hole Caves car park around 10:30.

Chutzpah; I'll PM my mobile # to you...

That’s a shame Coffeejo, I hope you get over it soon –weather’s far too good to be poorly.

Perhaps you should come the Glastonbury after all, as one thing is for sure – you will always find a good remedy for mind, body &spirit, whether it be by balancing you chakras (they sell cream for that!), drop of Reiki, healing crystals, some pagan worship or some good old fashion which craft – they have it all. But if you can’t make it, I seem to recall that you can get someone to do “distant healing” too! I’ll keep a look out for you

Right, I think I'm ready for tomorrow. As I'm so excited to see the sun I'll be bringing my fetching Sky cycling cap that I got for free last year. My wife suggested my Sky cycle top too, but I think that would be overkill and make you all worried that a professional had turned up.....

Cheap Karrimor top from Sports Direct it is!

Great ride today, I really enjoyed it. I've now had my CycleChat informal ride virginity taken away from me!

Yes, it was a good ride. Thanks for showing us the area Dave!

All in all, about 30 miles, but with less than 1,000 feet of climbing, so very, very flat! (So that's why it's called "the Levels"). Really nice to explore a new area too. So many places I didn't know existed, I can see many a weekend ride around there with the wife and kids!

So, when's the next one?!
