When I gave video evidence recently to a police officer, she simply gave me a CD-R and I was able to copy the video onto it without any problems. I then made sure that the video could be played back and it worked.
If the file is on the right type of format (My police station said that they needed continuous footage and could not accept storage data because it may have a virus on it) then there should be no problem. It was up to the court to make sure they could play the footage before the actual appearance.

Yes, because it's impossible to have a virus on a CD! Unbelievable; such techno-illiteracy.

Terrible driving from both, but at least the fella had the basic common decency to apologise and plead guilty (against the advice of his insurance company). The woman is beneath comtempt and possibly sociopathic.

Court case for driver two was delayed until Sept 2012 but it is now Nov 2012 so what happened? I have searched but can find no update. IMO she should have clearly seen the rider. The guy on the bike was knocked to the ground only seconds before she turned. First car hits at 0:04 and second car rides over bike at 0:07. Just because something is low down in the road it does NOT mean cars can blindly ride over it. What about if a baby falls out of pushchair into road. Note also recumbent bikes.

If anyone remembers the YouTube video of the cyclist being hit by one car then driven over by another may find this interesting.

"Driving without due care and attention.
Driver one RJ05 EFO Chris Bassett OF Harrow, PLEADED GUILTY ( His statement was that he's insurance company told not to plead not guilty as there was no damage to his car but on seeing the video he pleaded guilty). : RECEIVED SIX POINT AND A £230 FINE.
Drive two NC04 LXG Sue Trepak of Hanwell, has pleaded NOT GUILITY even on view the video. The court case has been delay until sep 2012 due to the court has not the facility to play the video format (.MOV)."( borrowed from another place, original text from YouTube)
