Sometimes you just can't stop at the red light

That's exactly the situation where powered vehicles justify shooting a red.

It was barely red when you crossed but the Keltbray truck was reasonably spaced behind. I doubt you'd have had a bad outcome if you'd pulled left and stopped even if Keltbray ran the red.

Much more dangerous than sneaking through nearside or abusing the all red/(no) peds green phase.

Surely you should slow down enough approaching junctions that you can stop if you need to?

Was borderline for the cyclist though but crazy for that lorry behind to push through!

It was 29 frames behind me in the video, which on a 30fps recording works out to just under a second behind me. Not what I could call reasonably spaced behind.

With that in mind, heavy breaking and a change in position to move to the left, with the gap only being 1 second, really wouldn't be a good idea.

Utter b*llocks!

I don't have a problem with you running that light a bit late, I would probably do the same, but don't try and whip up some 'us V's them' hate because the truck followed you. I have absolutely no doubt that if you had slowed and stopped then the truck would have done so as well. On the whole these guys are profesional drivers and they can see any hesitation from a cyclist (or other road user) and will be prepared to stop. You did not ease off at all so the truck followed you.

I don't get the point of this vid at all?

With that logic you slow down to a stop by the line and start up again if its green?

Am i wipping up an us vs them hate? I would do exactly the same if a cyclist was close on my tail, in fact I have gone through a red light that has just changed as I'm aware of a cyclist close behind me who I have previously witnessed going through a red light. I do not want to be involved in a crash, especially with a tipper truck.
The truck driver, as a professional should have without a doubt, stopped at that red light. it would have been possible for him to do so. Are you suggest that he only went through it because I didn't stop? I'm certainly not going to be the test dummy for such a stupid experiment.

I don't get the point of your post at all.

This is a thing taught to drivers by decent instructors. If you are approaching a green light that has been green for a while then you should prepare for a possible change. This may mean easing off the power, reducing your speed or simply deciding at what point you will brake or continue if the lights do change.

Aye, but thats a lot more complex sequence of decisions than the original suggestion
