Well, it's been a bit overcast in Sth Mancs most of the day, I'd ridden to another site for a meeting and back to base - blooming windy.

Really couldn't face riding back home...........

............on the road...... Sun was shining, so bugger it - TPT most of the way home............how pleasant !!! Could have gone a bit further and got really close to home...next time......

Won't be able to do this when I get the fixed.....

Didsbury all the way through to Brinnington. The TPT does stretch coast to coast. I was going to go all the way to Woodley, but took a different turn in Reddish Vale deliberately....and popped up in Brinnington - about a mile from home.

There is the Pyramid in pic two - you've then got a stretch just past the pyramid on road until Tesco where you pick up Reddish Vale trails......

Never tried it until now !

Potsy it's dead easy to follow..... I picked the TPT up at Manchester Road, Parrs Wood - just opposite the Galleon Fitness Centre, near the Cinema Complex. When going through Reddish Vale - you get to the top of a climb, then the TPT drops back down the hill - I carried on, under a long lit tunnel, then the trail runs parallel to the M60, and pops up in Brinnington, turn right, follow the road through the estate, and it brings you out on the main road through Brinnington at the little roundabout - about 300 yards from Selecta Tyres !

Worth a change when it's dry....

Only 7 - direct route - was about 10-15 mins slower than road. About 4-5 off road, and maybe 2-3 on road (on road bits were 1/2 mile from work, 1/2 mile in the middle, then about 1 1/2 miles at end. Could make it about 10 I think if I followed the TPT as it heads north for a bit, then winds back.

Is that near Fridays (the bit where you started your journey)? My Aunt lives in Wythenshawe, so I may have passed it. Is there a golf club near by? I've been to Reddish Vale Country Park, but I follow the 192 bus route then turn left, problem is I can only find the short routes in the park and always end up back where I started (or near enough where I started).

No...I jumped on near the A34 (Parrs Wood) - You can get on it near Fridays - I ride past on the road most days..... ride along, come up at the Galleon, then cross over the A34, and back on the route
