We like long running series like (from days gone by) NYPD Blue, and a bit more up to date, The Wire, The Sopranos and latterly, Breaking Bad. We've not seen anything on the same scale as any of those (the infantile 'Game of Thrones' discounted immediately we saw it was a puerile fantasy thing) until now.

We've really got in to Sons of Anarchy now and just finished series one last night. It was a real belter and we've starting on series two later today.

Any more fans of this TV show on here?

Yeah we watched SOA in it's entirety, and loved it.
Have you tried Prison break? A lot of episodes but strangely addictive.

i've watched the whole lot and despite it the plot being very farcical at times it is compelling viewing

That's what I watch on the turbo during winter. Saving the newest series on Netflix for this winter. :hyper:

Brilliant series and it will keep getting better as each seasons goes on. I finished watching the last season (7) about 2 months ago and started watching them again.
Katey Sagal who plays Gemma is probably the star of the show for me. She also sings in a lot of the songs that appear in each episode..... bit of useless information for you there

Watched the first episode - it had promise but then got into The Walking Dead - I must revisit the show.

Mr Robot is smashing TV.

I've watched all of it. It really went off at times, season 3 set in Northern Ireland was just rubbish IMVHO. The rest was pretty good and I liked it because it shared a lot of actors with The Shield, and gang names etc, . I'm not sure if it was produced by the same people or something. It's not a patch on The Shield though, which just IMVHO is the best TV series ever made.

I agree with @accountantpete Mr. Robot is brilliant tv, better than SOA.

I'm also watching Wentworth at the moment the Prisoner Cell Block H remake, its Australian like the original. I'm sure the sound of that will put a lot of people off, but it's really good and better than the majority of US drama series, again just IMHO.

Kurt Sutter was heavily involved in both series, which explains the sharing of the same fictional universe

Watched most of SOA.

Loved most of it. Some very good bits and very true to some of what happens in the patch MCs (I used to know a LOT of full patch members).

Some pure fantasy and made for the tv impact.

On the whole a good series.

In Eastbourne yesterday there was a guy in a SAMCRO t shirt riding on a mobility scooter.

I am not having a go at the guy as I think he was genuinely disabled but it looked a bit incongruous

Sons is brilliant. Some of the season endings are fantastic.

If you like Sons try Banshee, warning bit of sex in it and has some very violent scenes in it.

Trivia from Sons, Katey Sagal does the voice of Leela in Futurama.
