Got these fitted to the bike as standard. Integrated with the brakes, roady style

But they were OEM parts and didn't come with any instructions/exploded diagrams etc.

Now I can see that at some point in the future I'll need to do some sort of
maintenance. It'd be nice to know what to expect before I consider taking a screwdriver to them.

Think its about the only thing my copy of 'Zinn' which I got for the MTB won't cover.

Anyone able to point me to a suitable site or have scanned images of the original instructions?

I wouldnt worry too much, not for 5 years or so

I have Sora on my winter bike, its done 4000 miles maybe, all weathers, and never let me down, and still going strong.

Ultimately you may find maintenance or spare parts info on the Shimano website.

i would think thrice before attempting to service them. even very competent mechanic at lbs says that they are not designed to be user serviceable and won't touch them.

Just discovered that! All I wanted to do was change the brake cables and little things started bouncing out all over the place. Still trying to track 'em all down
