Hi All,
Very new to this and would be grateful on any advice for the following. I have found that I get very painful feet whilst riding. It's not hot feet but a 'numb' dull ache on the outsides of my soles. I have experimented with my ride height, cleat position etc but nothing seems to help. I did my first 75k ride the other day and had to stop 3 or 4 times just to relieve the pain. I wear shimano shoes and have shimano pedals too, not sure if that's relevant.

Any advice will be greatly received.
Cheers

I had this problem, as did my cycling buddy. We have both gone up a shoe size and that has solved the problem for us. He also changed pedals as well, but not sure if that helped a lot.

yes markymark, I purposely bought a half size larger shoes so plenty of room. The more digging around I do on the internet makes me think that the bike has not been set up correctly for me so I may try another fitting elsewhere.

Do you pronate? See an expert about orthotics perhaps?

Also could well be cleat position, float?
