Sore hand

I've cycled squillions of miles but yesterday, for the first time ever, I came home with a sore hand, right in the fleshly part under my ring finger and pinkie. This has never happened before and I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue.

I had relatively new gloves on so it's not as if the padding had gone and I held onto the drops/hoods in the same way as ever before

I see many riders gripping the bars/hoods too much, especially on inclines. You don't need to grip the bars/hoods heavily, just a very light touch, very little or no weight on your arms/hands.

I have a left wrist problem, not cycling related, I have worn wrist supports in the past whilst cycling. Not advising this for you. Try no gloves on your next ride.:okay:
