Passed my Class 2 HGV theory and hazard perception tests today :becool:

At least as a cyclist and truck driver I can do my bit to promote cyclists wherever possible.

FYI - one of the questions in the theory test is:

Q: When should you not attempt to turn left?

A: Immediately after a passing a cyclist.

The wording may not be perfect, (on my part), but at least it shows that cyclists do feature in the training of truck drivers, (and car drivers as well presumably). TBH cyclists crop up a lot as you read through 'The Official DSA Theory Test for Drivers of Large Vehicles' so there really is no excuse.

Anyhoo, my intensive driving course starts next week, so if you're in the Preston area then watch out for a truck like this.........................and pedal as fast as you can in t'other direction ;)

Welcome to the Road To Hell  just make sure you get an Air Conditioned lorry cab when you have to spend 8 hours sat in one without it its really not enjoyable.

Yours Sincerely

Well done! I shall look forward to sitting behind you mile after mile doing 56mph past another lorry doing 56.0000000001mph ;-)

Joking apart, its no bad thing we have a cyclist in a cab....

Well done mate! Did my theory and hazard perception tests last September and then did the practical test with work in October for a Cat C. Not driven since but that's because I need work to put me through their own course that lasts a week.
