I am on a diet whilst I train for the 2014 Tour T'France and have been sampling many soups. The Waitrose fish soup I've just had for lunch was disgusting, like the inside of a cat's bottom, I'd imagine....£3.99 too!

Make your own, soup is so simple, mushroom soup and tattie soup are my two favourites, but also like lentil and tomato soup and chicken soup.

your problem isn't the soups but your taste in them. baxters don't make soup. they make chemicals designed to appear like soup.
you're better off in fact making your own as you know what goes into em!

Butternut squash soup is pretty easy and tasty too! (And you can alter the flavours by adding in different ingredients).

Well, I do like Baxters chemicals Pete, they are very tasty.

Next up. Baxters Roast tomato & parmesan. Baxters Healthy lentil & vegetable. & Viva Espana Gazpacho (Aldi).

I think I will give the spicy carrot & lentil soup a whirl, thanks Vernon.

Mrs A_T is getting to be a master of soups [favourites are vegetable [any to hand], leek and potato, lentil and butternut squash and mushroom- the cullen skink was great but stank the house out for about a week]... she uses our redundant smoothie maker to blend them.... then you can serve mugfuls from the tap... genius!

home made chicken & veg soup is great
