Dear Bike Lovers,
I am reaching out from Madeira Island, Portugal, in the hope that your expertise or network might help me locate a rare replacement part for a classic folding bike.
I own an original Mark 1 Sinclair A-bike (the version utilising the ultra-compact 6 1/4-inch wheels).
Unfortunately, due to an accidental over-inflation issue last weekend, the front aluminium wheel rim was completely ruined. While sourcing a new tyre and tube locally is straightforward, finding a replacement aluminium rim for this specific 6-inch setup has proven to be incredibly difficult.
Please note that because this is the original Mark 1 model, the upgraded 8-inch wheels from later versions will not fit my frame configuration. I am looking to find: An original 6 1/4-inch aluminum front rim or full wheel assembly.
A compatible alternative small-wheel rim that matches the core dimensions and brake surface. Or a referral to a specialist, collector, or shop that might hold deadstock parts. If you have anything compatible in your inventory, or if you can point me toward a community or supplier who might, I would be deeply grateful for your insights.
