I was all set to leave work before 5pm tonight. Then the train arrived 20 minutes late, and travelled at 10mph for the entire journey. Now I don't get to leave until after 6pm, when all the ARGH I WANT TO GET HOME NOW!!! drivers are on the road

smack through the middle of it for me. Vauxhall to Camberwell was a bit loopy, Camberwell to Peckham was near impossible. Had police directing filterers onto the pavement (and not in a "get off your bikes you callous fools" kind of way, but more "ride here, its easier")

Thoughts go out to those who were involved.

Not sure, it wasnt too bad for me last night, that was about 21.00. There has been probs in Brixton in the day with a burst watermain though, so some of it could be that.

had a wee chat in kenningont this morning with some guy on a recumbent too., Fab weather at the mo' too

I feared it was going to be bad, as the Police were diverting traffic outside my office for the 'bad crash' (as the PC put it) near the BP station on New Kent Road.

But once I was on the road, I was OK. I think I must have missed the Kennington issues.

I went through E&C about 7.20 and along Kennington Park Road. I could see NKR blocked off by police and traffic was at a standstill along KPR. I passed police and ambulance attending to one (maybe two) cyclist(s) that looked like (t)he(y) hade been in collision with a car by Penton Place (where two cyclists had been involved in a collision with a car the previous evening). More police and ambulances heading in the opposite direction. Then got to the lights at Oval to see Camberwell New Road closed off. French guy at the lights suggested it might be due to one incident causing all roads to Camberwell to be blocked off. That was a pretty scary thought so I got out of there sharpish. Sorry to hear that it was in fact multiple incidents including fatalities.

As a general observation, I do tend to find traffic coming away from the E&C RAB in whatever direction tends to be very frustrated; lots of sharp acceleration, swerving, close passes. And of course heavy braking at the next set of lights/queue of traffic. Not sure it'll be much better when they've finished redevloping the RAB.

Yep Elephant and Castle, top of OKR were both shut off at 5.30. I was directed down to tower bridge and told by the police to ride over the recently pedestrianised section (on the motorbike) to get home.

Earlier that Day Hammersmith was also totally shut down.
