The hill that is Crystal Palace has a habit of decapitating clouds if you are the wrong side. I'm on the wrong side. Good to know its better up Nurf.

Looking at the progress on the radar map on the Will it Rain Today website , it does seem as though a gap will pass over us at some point in the early hours. Anyway, generally, it's fairly light stuff.

It started raining in Guildford around lunchtime. I left there at 6, and have just arrived home for what (even at the end of the week) should usually be a 90 minute journey at most. It was raining all the way and got worse when I hit the M40.

I'm also feeling headachy and worn-out, and since I've been ill too many times this year already I'm afraid I'm out.

(Insert unhappy yellow-faced thingy).

If someone wants to have a second breakfast or a round of drinks on me to keep the cafe happier, I'll be at next Friday's drink-up to repay them.

I've just remembered. I have the massive kitty of £44.51 left over from Manchester to Morecambe, due to beer being so cheap up north. Hopefully this can be put to good use tomorrow.
