Long time since i've been here!

Currently decidedly unfit, but have a conference over in spain, so taking the opportunity to get the bike out. Will be cycling between Bilbao airport and Bermeo.

There is the a dual carriage road BL-631, anyone any direct experience of this road, or similiar in Spain - are they cycle friendly or have associated cycle paths? It doesnt look too good in google street view.

Any alternative route suggestions if the BL-631 not suitable? - priorities are flatter the better, cycle friendly and aesthetics.

Any general Spain cycling advice also gratefully received (save me searching through the hundreds of threads which come up with 'Spain' search)

ta in advance.

The BL-631 is an Autovia - effectively a motorway. The only cycle friendliness is that there's a hard shoulder to ride on (which is normally permitted, unlike on Autopistas, the other type of Spanish motorway).
I'd head north for Plentzia, then follow the coast round to Bermeo.
