We do of course read little stories of the aftermath of war all the time. I read this and just felt sorry for the pilot, having to take his courage into his hands to wander off into the desert to get back to safety and never being seen again.

Lets hope his remains are found and the young man, as he was, can be given the dignity of a proper resting place.
