well it will be a geared chain so far because it is only a semi SS due to me not having much to do one night and planning to convert her to an SS in any case so i just ripped off all the crappy gear changing rubbish and set the chain on the cogs i wanted whilst leaving multi speed free wheel and chain rings on.... and then i went and buggered the old chainProbably. What's the bike?
yeah i have broken it too shortRight, understood. As it's a conversion of a geared bike it will need to be a geared chain to match the existing sprockets.
What have you done to damage the old chain? Sure it's not fixable with a quick link?
was thinking of that my self and will give it a shot I guess2891459 said:Can you not break both the chain and the bit you took off, but more carefully this time so you don't push the pins all the way out? Then you could restore it to the length you need.
