specialised allez race bike vs Merida road 901

I'm looking at getting my first road bike and have found both of these two bikes, getting a bit confused! was just wondering what people thought the best choice out of the two would be?

I'm 6ft any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Spec looks a bigger frame not sure what size it is !
The other looks to small for a 6 ft er.. IMO
Would nt like to ride my bike down that lane...

just asked them both, they measure at 56cm

Would go with the spec ... purely on looks !
Not sure what group sets they have on wheels etc

The Merida looks like it has been loved - and the wheels look good too. That rear cassette is gleaming, It is a bit rarer than the Specialised too but might be heavier.
Check the specs.

The Merida is probably a 2005 model and weighs about 10.5kg and has carbon forks

The Specialised is younger, probably 2009, and will have Carbon Forks
