specialized allez or other for around £500

first off i dont know much about the difference between cycle components, i do ride daily and can work on bikes but i am looking to spend around £500 on a bike not any more but gladly less, i have been looking at the specialized allez and a few others and the carrera's at halfords, is the allez good for the price? or is there something better in that price range? is there much difference between the allez and carrera zelos and is it REALLY worth double the price for the specialized?

Wiggle have had some good deals on Felt bikes

I would buy a Specialized over a Carrera every day of the week (and I am no Spesh fan)!

I've got a felt z95, done 3500 miles on it in the last year, between very happy with it. probably within budget now for a 2013 model. allez is the racier frame from spesh, the secteur is the more comfortable geometry their range that price

I expect the Felt will have higher specced components than the basic Allez - Sora groupset vs 2300 or even Claris

i did see the felt bikes on wiggle and was very interested though haveing not much clue on bikes and components i wasnt sure about the felt brand, so the felt would be the best choice?

I have an allez and love it paid 500 for it from leisure lakes bikes and love it
