Those have the fitting for the 2 bolt spd cleats, but they wont be recessed like a normal 2 boly spd shoe. You can get an adaptor that has the rubber bits to to make them recessed, but without them you will be walking directly on the cleat.

As for the shoes, I have them they were fairly comfy from new, but I have just had a bike fitting at Cadence sport where I got some custom insoles made, even more loverly.

They are very well vented which is great for the summer... if we get one. I also have the specialized neoprene overshoes for when I need to keep the draught out. The BOA lacing works wll. Being white they show the dirt, but also clean up easily with a wipe over with some soapy water.

I usually take a 44 in trainers, and a 45 in shimano. My specialized are also 45.

Hi Paul,

Do you recommend them then?

Also, do you have a link to these adapters? I would like to see them an how they work.

Many thanks.

I think these are the ones. I havent used them before so you will need to do your own research. Also, I doubt these will work with pedles with a cage around them, I think they are just for MTB type pedels, like the m520 style.

For fit and comfort I would recommend them, but be aware they are very well vented, so you may need overshoes or shoe socks to keep the chill out.

I had them for a month or so; used them twice. However, that's because the bike broke, not the shoes. I spent some time with Evans and they were the best choice for me at the time. I've changed them to BG Expert shoes because they came free with the Secteur; http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/bg-expert-road-shoe-ec025551

The BG Comp shoes fitted well, particularly with wider feet as I've got. However, be careful re. sizing - it's usually a size up from normal.

I have them as well. I tried them on in my LBS and found them really comfortable. I agree with Paul that they are well ventilated but during the winter and early spring I am wearing neoprene overshoes anyway. In the current temps. they are fine with appropriate socks. When summer eventually arrives the ventilation is a godsend (I can remember the end of last summer when I first had the shoes).
They are stylish looking shoes as well once you get used to the 'white'.
