Currently looking for a new helmet as mine has a crack in the foam wich is only getting larger

I tried on the spesialized echelon which felt very comfortable and fitted very well, decided I would go home and read some reviews on it first before deciding to buy

With reading reviews I came across the spesialized propero ii and the spesialized prevail, although I can't afford the top end prevail I've been reading that the propero ii is fantastic at letting air flow around the head

This is something I'm looking for as I get very hot very quickly (probably because I've worked in a freezer for the last 12 years)

Does anyone have either the echelon or the propero ii or even tried them both, is the echelon just as good as the propero ii especially for air flow?

I have an echelon. Comfortable but sits way too high for my liking. Not too hot thoughthough

Perhaps look at other brands, like giro and kask

I have the giro savant at the moment which I do like but found the echelon instantly more comfortable when I tried it on

Do you find good air flow through your echelon?

I have a lot of hair so really I can't tell. It just looks gash IMO, probably because of my hair (I much prefer my new Uvex  )

I've got an Echelon II, and it is undoubtedly very comfortable.
Airflow (and recently bugflow!) are very good - if the Propero II is much better you'll need to get a skull cap when the temperature drops.

I do agree with vickster on the look though - it sits quite high and looks more mushroom than Froome.

May depend on head shape. I have a Propero and must be a bit pointy as it either sits quite high or I touch the foam if I cinch it down. Haven't really taken to it.

I've got the Propero II - it's exceptionally light and airy compared to what I'm used to (Giro women specific one, forget the name) and I really like it.

I have the propero II, it just felt right. good airflow compared to my other helmets (cheapo Bell, Met something). Anyway, perfect fit and very lightweight but not as snug look as others.
