Doesn't work in Chrome either

Both TTCycle and I bought Ribbles over past few months. Mine is a Nero RC with Centaur and i love it. I can't complain about the customer service. Delivery isn't quick, but was as promised and the bike is lovely.

The new gran forno looks cool too.

Sorry to reopen this but I have just noticed on the specialised site that the Roubaix Elite Triple, is not full 105.

The brakes are no name "Arch design, cold forged dual pivot w/ cartridge pads"

Sorry specialised, but for £1,600 I expect better. I know where my money is heading...

I have been looking at the Roubaix and Secteurs but now convinced that Ribble Sportive much better value for money.

Though am confused now with the Gran Forno - not been able to read any reviews on it. Is this the 'new' Sportive? Will the Sportive be retired? What are the key differences between the two?

Peter, there is a thread about it on a different forum full of strange people

http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12658088&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

It sounds like noone really knows if the Gran Forno is a replacement for the Sportive, or a new version of the Dedaccai Ribelle frame. The logo on the head tube looks like a Dedaccai logo to me.

I looked at the frame alone on Ribble's site which claims.....

"In recognition of this now celebrated tradition of Italian cycling culture our 2010 Sportive model developed with the assistance of Dedacciai of Italy bears that famous Italian name."

Personally, i'd be more tempted to go for a Dedaccai frame (Gran Forno) over a pedalforce frame (sportive).

Spoke to Ribble today and they tried to tell me it was the same frame as the Sportive but in a different colour hmmmm clearly not the case. The Gran Fondo does look good. Let me check out the other thread that Tollers listed.

Pedalforce is no more a manufacturer than Ribble is. The Sportive and Gran Fondo frames probably come from the same Taiwanese factory.
