Hi all. I have a dilemma. My new Specialized is ready for me to collect. But I'm fairly new to road bikes. Given the wet damp drizzling weather should I leave it at the shop for another week. I don't really want to have my fist ride in the wet. .... Do I? It's 13 miles away. Decisions decisions

Just ride it home! As you said it is damp and drizzling, not a deluge!

Collect the bike, you know you want to.^_^
Before you ride home, make sure the bike is properly adjusted for you.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to take some tools with you in case you need to make adjustments on the way home.
Dress well for the ride and take it easy till you get used to the new bike.
I wish you well with your new purchase.

Not unless it's carbon

Seriously though, go and get it and ride it home. If you only plan to ride in ideal dry conditions in the UK then you 'ain't gonna do much riding!

This is why you need several bikes, depending on the weather conditions ;)

Go get the bike, ride it home, wrap up warm :cold:

In between here and there
Collect it, ride it, clean it. Simples
