There has been a lot of talk in the media that Cav will join Sky next year but I feel that the bigger question is "will there be a Sky team next year"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chuffy and I have been pondering that, too! At the moment it's looking a bit dodgy...

Sky is generating a huge amount of cash, and has improving profit outlook as a company (hence Murdoch's interest to increase ownership to 100%).

htc is going through a spot of trouble at the moment.

The irony is Sky Procycling seemingly can't organise a piss up in a brewery, while htc Highroad is driving a train right through the toughest sporting competition in the world.

HTC - team built around Cavendish and stage wins.

Sky - team built around Wiggins and his GC aspirations. No Wiggins now as we all know so they've obviously lost a bit of focus, but they're doing ok with the riders they have.

What would HTC be doing now without Cavendish?
