I emptied the storage last year but it still said 93% used!!

If you have enough space, try installing https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage

that will tell you what is actually taking up all the room on your phone.

What input method are you using? I'd recommend https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey, but you probably don't have room for that.

My Step son " I.T " manager said they shouldan't give a smart phone to people that are Not smart..he has a point.

New phone ..
My j5 had 8 gb of memory and with the Samsung overlay apps it had nowt left.
You can't remove them so phone is full to start with..

I've now got a android only with no apps added ..
Bought a Nokia g5 which has 16gb and a large screen.
SIM only so charge and go..just need the app that transfers info over as I've moved away from Samsung.

I've change my browser to chrome ..i just needed showing..so spell checker is much better , but I'll beat it from time to time
