Lenski's experiment resulted in E. coli turning into E. coli.
Ah, I see. You're one of the people who thinks that unless an antelope gives birth to a fish, evolution hasn't happened.
Scientifically and intellectually illiterate, I'm afraid.
Lenski's experiment resulted in E. coli turning into E. coli.
@mybike - here is a good example. The evolution of synapsid jawbones into mammal middle ear bones. The hammer, anvil and stirrup that we find in the mammal middle ear are the same bones, repurposed, that we find in ancestral jaws.
http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/article/evograms_05 and, if that's a bit dry for you, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_of_mammalian_auditory_ossicles
From the latter: "The evolution of mammalian auditory ossicles is one of the most well-documented and important evolutionary events, demonstrating both numerous transitional forms as well as an excellent example of exaptation, the re-purposing of existing structures during evolution"
TBH, as you seem incapable of critically appraising evidence, I doubt you'll take any of this on board, but others might find it interesting.
How did the poor animal cope as it's jawbone moved around - how did it eat?
Sorry, I've seen it all before & I'm getting a little bored.

Classic troll behaviour - not worth the bother any more...
Blimey, and you had the gall to call me a troublemaker!![]()
No, you are simply being challenged.I'm the one being attacked here.
No, you are simply being challenged.
It's intellectually dishonest to not answer questions nor even read the evidence provided.
Time to lock the thread Mods.
http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/article/evograms_05What evidence?
The one where you attacked the concept of evolution? Back that up with nothing, evaded questions, asked for impossible evidence while offering nothing yourself, ignorantly refuted what other have posted, such as the above link....And I suggest you read the Mod created OP.
What evidence?
I used to work with a non-believer. His arguments against evolution and for intelligent design included...
- The human wrist is infinitely more complex than the watch that's strapped around it, but if i claimed the watch somehow 'made itself', you'd call me a nutter and lock me up!
- DNA is clearly a hexadecimal code, and code does not evolve!
- Where's all the intermediary species, such as a duck with half a pair of wings?
- Radio carbon dating is hugely inaccurate and cannot be relied upon by any sensible person.
- Why do people listen to scientists who believe their ancestor was a bowl of soup?
