Spin bike recommendations please.

A friend of mine wants to buy her husband an indoor bike. She's asked me about this one

Does anyone have any experience or can anyone recommend another possibly around the same price give or take £50 ish?

I have no experience of spin bikes but do have experience of buying cycling gifts and my advice is tell your friend NOT to suprise her husband with a spin bike. If he has a real interest in using static training he might have a app in mind or a trainer he wants to use and it may not be the Kinnaomap app which I have never heard of, it also does not seem to have a power meter. A while ago I bought a secondhand expensive turbo trainer from a guy who had it bought for him by his partner. He did not want it!. Cycling gear tends to be personal, I have bought stuff for my partner but always asked beforehand and made sure they actually wanted it.

Is he a committed cyclist already? Would be better to get a turbo where you can attach your own bike onto it, then you keep the same position that you are used to on the road.

He has a road bike but I don't think its his thing to do indoor training. I've told her its a personal thing to get into. She's going to buy him a fire pit instead 😁
