I still want a Spitfire, a Catalina and a 747, the three best-looking aircraft ever.

How about a K-7

A 747? Really? Each to their own I suppose.

The 747 has a superbly purposeful, forward-moving look to it and has probably changed the world more than any other single aircraft:

Catalina somehow attracts the eye in its curves and its perfectly-designed functionality:

And if course the most beautiful:

Nice painting and I wouldn't mess around with it any more; nobody will notice the lack of authenticity. The good thing is that it's clear that a lot of effort and patience has gone into it. You have a pleasingly simple, naive style that reminds me somehow of Beryl Cook, who flourished in the 80s or Alex Colville the Canadian artist. Best of all you capture the sweeping graceful lines of the Spitfire perfectly.

I'm gonna get you to write my reviews hehe.

I'm sure plenty of fanatics would find things wrong with it, it's most likely a hybrid of different models to start with as i used lots of photos but my brother won't know and he's really happy with it, even though he's only seen it on Facebook so far and its a metre long so i hope he will be even more happy when he sees it in the flesh. And it was a pain in the ass to get those lines right. The cloud on the wing and tail cover up mistakes (shhhh)

Well done, it's a Triumph...

Living near to Biggin Hill, sometimes the air is thick with Spitfires.

Our local fete was beaten up by a Mark XXVI the other week. There were grown men with tears in their eyes and it wasn't the sun.
I live near Duxford, it's very similar here Spitfires, Hurricanes, the Lancaster and other stuff always flying over. We seem to get a lot of hot air balloons coming over as well. We had a Barbecue a little while ago and a hot air balloon came down so low they were able to shout down and ask us to pass them up and sausage.

Way better than I could do

Yep, I had planes on strings, all the usual culprits including SM 79 Italian air force, HS129, and Destiny Angel from Captain Scarlet. Plus a variety of ships and historical figures.
