I've been having a go at making some with Miss Goodbody recently, but there's sticky goo all over my fuselage.
I hear she uses an emery board in order to get a nice smooth undercarriage.
You're using that stuff in a tube, which makes things too sticky. What you need is the liquid in a jar. There's a little brush applicator in the lid. Brush it on and it makes things slide together much more easily.
Given that you are replying to Fnaar...

Not sure if you've actually said how your present was received?

Nice piece, by the way!
:okay:
O yes it was received very well, he's asked me to put the Aston Villa lion on and his nickname under the cockpit (I didn't varnish it bcoz I thought he might) but he loved it. What I also want to do is put some of the words on the wing but I am yet to find out what the hell they are ("walk outboard"???). Every time I zoom in on a photo it just goes too blurry to read. Any help any of you Airfix experts could give me on this would be gratefully received! But yes he really loved it. I also lengthened the propellers a bit so I'll post the final version once I've made all the little amendments.

Wow, great painting Buggi.

This is my favourite aircraft, the Harrier. I was at Brands Hatch once when one did a display during the interval. The most awesome noise I have ever heard, hovering feet overhead. The ground was shaking.

Usually "walk inboard" by the fuselage and "walk forward" along the front of the wing. The mechanic was to walk along the spar or leading edge which would take his weight, if he stood on the flatter surface aft it would buckle the surface and mean a new wing. BUT later marks had stronger surfaces which could take the weight so the markings differed.

I'll never forget the launch of (not yet HMS) INVINCIBLE., a Harrier hovered in front of the launch party and "bowed" to the queen.
But favourite aircraft:

Had a Spitfire and Hurricane over the house this morning, (whilst I was servicing the bike). As they flew over, in line astern, they each put their wheels down as they approached Biggin Hill.

They flew back in to BH this afternoon.
In groups of 3's, 4's and a 5.
